Please find information about inclement / winter weather policies in the Hamlet. We have contracted with YES to treat and plow Hamlet streets based on the criteria below.
Note that YES will not shovel sidewalks – each house is responsible for its own walkway and asked to help shovel the sidewalk near your house.
You can NOT shovel snow into the street! This extremely dangerous and unfair to residents “down stream” from your house where plowed snow accumulates.
Service Criteria
Upon anticipation of an event, or imminent winter precipitation, Yard Enhancement Services LLC crews will be ready and on standby.
Once accumulation has reached 2.0 inches, or at the operator’s discretion based on the nature of the event, snow removal services will commence. Events that produce more than 6.0 inches of accumulation will have multiple service visits to efficiently manage the event. Plowing will be curb to curb and everything in between unless obstructed by vehicles or other obstacles.
Ice melt product will be applied at the operator’s discretion during or after an event, based on the ice conditions. Public safety is the operator’s priority and our trucks will not leave the work site until the operator feels the conditions are safe enough to leave and if necessary, return when the event has subsided.
