The Hamlet will celebrate Halloween on Sunday, October 31st with a return of our traditional Kids Parade and Neighborhood Pot Luck Dinner. The plan is to kick-off the parade at 5:30 p.m. immediately followed by the pot luck at the end of Dry River Court. Traditionally, trick-or-treating begins following the pot luck at around 6:15p.m.
Please follow the safety protocols that best suit your family. Parents are asked to closely supervise small children and maintain appropriate social distancing throughout the evening.
Kids Parade
The Kids Parade is a fast, fun way to kick off Halloween. It’s a change for our youngest Hamlet goblins to show off their costumes and get excited for trick-or-treating. Older kids and all Hamlet adults are encouraged to line Dry River court and cheer on the kids as they parade down Dry River Court. Kids (and their parents) gather at Dry River & Middle Creek lane around 5:20 pm
Pot Luck Dinner
Everyone in the Hamlet is invited to a pot luck dinner held at the end of Dry River Ct. It begins around 5:35p.m. following the parade. This year please bring items that are individually wrapped, covered, or otherwise easy to grab and go. We are asking each family to take the precautions and follow protocols that are appropriate for their own situation. Parents should closely supervise young children and maintain social distancing at the pot luck.
If participating, please bring a healthy main course, side course and/or drinks to share. If you choose to contribute drinks, please only single serve cans or bottles.
Trick-or-Treating
Trick-or-Treating begins after 6:15p.m. and generally continues through the evening. If you do not wish for your house to receive trick-or-treaters, please turn off your porch light and keep your front door closed. When driving in the Hamlet (and elsewhere) Halloween night, take extra care to watch for trick-or-treaters and please slow down!
