Recently one of the cluster mailboxes on Mossy Creek Lane fell over due to rust. Although temporarily repaired, the need to replace the box led to the Board reviewing and approving a new mailbox design. The existing mailboxes are quite old and slowly will need replacement. The current design is either not available or very difficult to obtain.
Therefore at our September 23rd meeting, the Hamlet Board approved a new style and color for all replacement cluster boxes. The Board is proposing a USPS approved design by Salsbury Industries in a dark green color. If approved by the Design Review Board, all replacement cluster boxes will use this style and color.
Due to the cost of each mailbox (nearly $4,000 installed), we will replace boxes as needed only. If approved by DRB, we will paint all existing boxes to the same color in the near future.
